The Tending Studio

You’re invited to the self-led tier
of The Tending Studio.

august 2026 to june 2027

The practice of The Tending Studio in a self-led form.

The live Tending Studio is a facilitated room: a place to be witnessed, coached, challenged, supported, and held in the presence of others.

The self-led path offers the same underlying rhythm, practices, questions, and tools so you can move through the same five tending cycles independently with lighter support.

You will not receive live coaching or personalized feedback inside this pathway. You will receive a clear, thoughtful structure with light-touch support for choosing your work, staying in contact with it, moving it forward, and returning when you disappear.

The Tending Studio is a
reckoning with your own agency where your work actually becomes practice. The self-led path invites that same reckoning.

Here, you are not be given marching orders to be more consistent, choose one thing forever, or force yourself into visibility your body cannot metabolize. You will also not be invited to remain indefinitely in reflection without making a choice.

The Tending Studio holds a nuanced practice between your capacity and your agency. Your body, ambition and choices matter here. Everything is organized around those three things.

It is a commitment to move.

The work that moves with your vision, leadership and lived experience. The work that only come from you because of what you have noticed, practiced, questioned, loved and refused to dilute.

Work that carries your thinking, your care, your artistry, your convictions, and your way of seeing the world into something others can encounter, return to, and be changed by.

What do I mean exactly by body of work?

THIS COULD LOOK LIKE:

writing a collection of essays that articulate your brilliant, nuanced perspective
designing a framework that gives language to something your people have felt but
not yet named
recording a podcast season around a question or
conversation that is orienting for you and your work.
pioneering a research project around a recurring theme in your work
developing a lens, philosophy, or approach that becomes associated with you
gathering a series of talks, teachings, or recordings around your core
message
creating
a manifesto that names what you stand for and what you refuse to keep participating in
facilitating a series of
client stories or case studies that reveal the depth of your work

Five cycles. Ten months.
One repeatable practice of agency.

Over ten months, you will move through five self-led 60-day cycles.

In each cycle, you will choose one meaningful focus inside your body of work and move it through a complete rhythm; from noticing what is asking for your attention to allowing the work to be witnessed in some real form.

You do not need to complete an enormous project every sixty days. The practice is learning how to choose, act, create, contact the world, and integrate what happens.

In every cycle, you will follow this rhythm:

  • Orient: Name where you are and what’s most important.

  • Map: Get honest and bold about what keeps pulling at you, and what is asking for attention.

  • Decide: Choose your focus and commitment.

  • Build: Draft, outline, write, design, record, structure, revise, practice, plan, or create.

  • Contact: Share, test, publish, invite, pitch, teach, send, speak, or let it be witnessed.

  • Integrate: Process and reflect by asking questions like: what did you learn and what wants to continue?

Inside the Self-Led Path

The self-led path is designed around the same rhythm and set of curated agency tools designed to help your work move and be tended to on repeat with light support.

The Rhythm: Five guided 60-day cycles

Each cycle you will be guided in a process of
pre-recorded videos, audios and content of:

  • an opening orientation practice to help you begin the cycle with clarity

  • body-of-work reflection prompts to help you notice what is asking for your attention

  • guidance for choosing one clear focus for the cycle

  • a new 60-day Tending Guide to shape your work into grounded next steps

  • mobilization and capacity practices to support movement you can actually sustain

  • a closing integration process to reflect on what moved and what wants to continue

The Tools: The Agency Archive

You will receive a set of agency tools to support the process.

  • Body-of-Work Map: a Google doc helps you gather the bigger vision, name the thread of your work, and see what you’re actually building over time.

  • 60-Day Tending Guide: a supporting Google doc to help you choose one focus for each cycle and give it a clear shape and next steps in a way that is brimming with choice and self-leadership.

  • Choice in the Body: a somatic agency practice to help you discern agency-driven action, so your next step comes from choice instead of force.

  • Return Ritual: a simple process for coming back to the work after freezing, overthinking, or disappearing.

You will also receive light support of a bi-monthly group call and weekly Voxer office hours where you can bring questions and receive coaching.

To be clear, this version does not include:

  • live studio calls

  • live coaching or hot-seat support

  • the monthly Making Room sessions

  • a private group chat

  • personalized feedback on your work

  • a collaborative Tending Sheet shared with Ashley

  • private Voxer or one-to-one support
